A wonderful weekend was had at the Home Nations U20s and Inter Regionals U17 beach competitions held in Porthcawl, Wales on the 16th and 17th August. The weekend was full of high’s and very few lows in the games, the players gave everthing they had and left it all on the court, guided by head coaches Ben Fairweather and Erin Whitting with the assistances of Alistair Mitchell and James Taggart Hollands at the event and not forgetting Dan Mrowiec’s input to training and selection.
In the U20s Home Nations the South West took the Gold in both Girls and Boys events, seeing seasoned players returning to the court. In the U17 IRB’s competitions we finished 5th and 7th respectively. Well done to all, the boys training sessions were better attended than the girls, this summer and we would love to see more U17s at training next year.
