One Gold One Silver

It was another great display from the South West U19 Beach team this weekend, picking up Gold in the Girls and Silver in the Boys event at this year’s Small Nations Beach Championships in Cardiff.

After two days of matches, both the girls and the boys found themselves unbeaten and through to their respective finals. Wales had also made their way to both finals and hence it became a straight shootout between the two for this years event honours.

Both matches were extremely close, with the SW girls just winning 2-0, in the boy’s match, it was 1-1 after both pairs had played and hence it all came down to the Golden set play off to 15 points, which went to Wales. This also means that the 2024 Team Award will be shared by both teams this year, well done to everyone.
