Tournament Nets RequiredI am currently with Salisbury Volleyball Club and we are trying to arrange our annual Volleyball Tournament on 9/10th August, however the club that we hired our nets from last year are unable to hire them to us this year. If anyone can help, we would be looking to hire a total of 18 nets if possible. Many Thanks in advance |
National ChampionsThe 29th of March 2015 will be a day to remember for the Academy of Beach Sports, the highlight was the win over Richmond Volleyball for the National U16 Girls title, coming back from 0-2 down to win by two points in the fifth set. Hopefully everyone was watching the match on their TV’s and PC’s, Volleyball England had excellent on line TV coverage of the Final’s. However that was only part of the story, as the day proved to be a major clash of dates for the Academy. Not only had they made their way through to the U16 Girls Finals in Kettering but also the finals of the British Colleges Girls Championship in Bath and a SW Ladies League commitment against Yeovil and Torexe in Exeter. Fortunately the Academy was not only able to fully fill all their commitments but also picked up the British Colleges Girls Championship title to add to the U16 Girls Title. As for the SW league matches, not their day this time but the team still has the change of claiming third place in the league in the last round of fixtures. Veiw from the Bench: Volleyball England U16 Cup Final. 2-2, fifth set 9-7 down Well done to all the players, coaching team, parents and volunteers, a day to remember. |

VE Strategy 2024In March 2015, we launched our Strategy 2024! This strategy presents a long term vision for where we would like to see volleyball in England in 2024! We have published a booklet setting out the 11 bold ambitions which will enable volleyball to develop and grow stronger over the next 10 years. We have also produced a great video with many recognisable stars and volunteers summarising the Strategy 2024 and bringing to life the ambitions and targets. Volleyball is a global sport. Millions of people all over the earth enjoy all aspects and disciplines; Indoor, Beach and Sitting. This Strategy 2024 has been informed by many of our members, partners and stakeholders and we are absolutely confident that we will have a truly vibrant sport, played, watched and talked about by everyone in England by 2024! |
